Committees
Communications Committee
The mission of this committee is to develop and document processes and procedures to ensure effective communication between clergy, other committees, congregation and community. Subcommittees include Information Technology and Telecommunications, Public Relations, Publications, Communications Process Improvement and Website.
Educational and Spiritual Enrichment Committee
This committee develops and provides education programs to teach the Word of God, increase faith and obtain a deeper understanding of our religion for children, youth and adults. Subcommittees include Adult Forum, Sunday School and Spiritual Enrichment.
Evangelism Committee
This committee's mission is to spread the Word of God, lead people to Christ and provide information about Nativity and the Episcopal Church to the surrounding communities.
Finance Committee
These members oversee the financial transactions of the church to include, but not limited to, checking accounts, investment accounts, the budget development and making recommendations, if necessary, on investments for the church's financial needs. Subcommittees include Budget and Counters for the offerings, and Pledge Record Keeping.
Hospitality Committee
This committee sets up, cleans and decorates the church for coffee hours, the Bishop's visitation, birthdays, weddings, funerals and potlucks, as well as encourage church members to welcome newcomers and to get to know each other better.
Pastoral Care Committee
This committee assists the priest in providing for the spiritual and personal needs of the congregation. Subcommittees include Lay Ministers, Prayer Chain and Family Support.
Property Committee
This committee provides for the maintenance, improvements and present and future use of the church facilities, property and grounds. Subcommittees include Grounds, Building Improvements, Maintenance and Repair, Future Plans, and Housekeeping.
Stewardship Committee
This committee promotes personal involvement in church activities through time, talent and financial contributions. It organizes and implements the annual fund drives and encourages everyone to follow the recommendations of the Diocese..
Worship Committee
This committee marks the continued growth of the congregation and quality of the worship services. This is a very active committee with representation for the major areas associated with the worship service, music, acolytes, LEMs, the altar guild, lectors and ushers.
Youth and Children Committee
This committee provides the spiritual growth and development of the children and youth of the congregation through participation in fellowship groups, specific activities and diocesan events. Subcommittees include Sunday School and Youth Forum.
